What is the Evaluation Centre?
The Evaluation Centre is a web service to help IT decision makers formulate their business requirements, shortlist vendors and maximise their ongoing investment in IT products and services.
What benefits are there for a user?
The Evaluation Centre provides a library of documents to help and inform you throughout the whole project lifecycle. You can search through vendor profiles and download detailed reports on audited vendors.
What is the process?
Once you have registered on the site you can access all areas including the Strategy and Implementation content libraries and the vendor search facility in Software Evaluation. If you have any queries, issues or comments visit our Service Centre to get in touch.
I can't find the software I need. What do I do now?
Let us know!! We are constantly updating our listings and adding new audited vendors. Use the onscreen shortcuts or go directly to the Service Centre in the Evaluation Centre of interest.
I have not sourced software before – how can the Evaluation Centre help?
Read our latest market research and expert opinions in the Strategy area and see if any of our Tools might help you with the process. If you are still not sure how to proceed…let us know. We'll be pleased to point you in the right direction.
I have not been responsible for implementing software – can the Evaluation Centre help?
We can't run the project for you but we do have lots of useful content. You can compare notes with organisations featured in our Case Studies, keep up with latest developments in our Management Briefings and our Tools can provide best-practice project techniques.
Can the Evaluation Centre help me build a business and technology strategy?
Yes!! The Management Briefings, White Papers and Tools in the Strategy area are there to help you with this critical part of the process. We recognise that access to the latest thinking and considered analysis of your business requirements can drive the success of the project and ROI on your investment.
Can the Evaluation Centre put me in touch with experts in the field?
The Evaluation Centre is supported by a network of industry experts, many of whom are available to provide advice as required. We will be happy to connect you with someone appropriately knowledgeable about your area of interest.
Can I get in touch with other users to talk about issues?
We recognise the value of peer-group connections and are keen to support this in the near future.
What if I want a report on a company that is not in the Evaluation Centre?
We will be happy to profile additional companies on request. There is an area within each Service Centre where you can submit requests for new reports.
Do you have a helpdesk I can call on?
Yes. Our number is displayed in the Service Centre. Alternatively you can email us; use one of our online forms or even request a call from us.
What project tools can I get from you?
Our selection of Tools will continue to grow as we find more useful products to make available. All Evaluation Centres have standard project lifecycle templates to help you get started.
What if I don't understand some of the product terms you use?
We have developed the most comprehensive glossary of business applications terms available on the web. Detailed descriptions are available in the Glossary section in each Evaluation Centre and also in the help features on many of the screens.
